One of the few days that I have witnessed where everyone on the point just stood on the beach mesmerized by the sets and the surfing— specifically these two— @kilgar and @jabe_swierkocki Surfers / boards: Kilian Garland / Ci’s Neckbread3 5’8” x 18 3/4” x 2 5/16” (not sure if shaped by Britt or Mike) Jabe Swierkocki / Ci Pro with round tail 5’10” shaped by @mike_walter Field Notes: Jabe was going for the larger sets that were swinging wide and providing J-Bay type walls. Jabe in this kind of surf is second to none at Rincon. Kilian was looking for the slightly smaller sets that were able to sneak inside and get right on top of this once in a decade sandbar. @eithanosborne on his 5’6” Better Everyday Keeping all the characteristics that make the HE a great stepdown performance board…in the Better Everyday, the trademark hip is relaxed, allowing the board to be smoother off the bottom and opens the range in slightly larger waves. Swallow tail gives more bite and hold while maintaining the loose feeling characterized with the board. Increased flip out the tail on the Better Everyday loosens up the board out of the top of the lip creating a positive feeling out of the top while the decreased hip is a more positive feeling off the bottom. #ciSurfboards #ciBetterEveryday

A really great board just got even Better! When Happy Everyday debuted a few years ago—after placing 2nd in Stab in the Dark with Taj Burrow—it quickly became one of our favorites and we eventually found ourselves wondering: “How can we ride this even more”? Thankfully, Britt and team went to work and those refinements resulted in the Better Everyday! Keeping all the characteristics that made Happy Everyday a great stepdown performance board, Britt made several notable updates to help it ride even Better. He relaxed its trademark hip; added a swallow tail; increased the tail rocker; and put an emphasis on riding it as a quad while making sure the 5-fin placement still worked great as a tri. The relaxed hip allows the Better Everyday to feel smoother through both the transitions and critical turns, and also opens its range in slightly larger waves. The swallow tail provides more bite and hold but still maintains the looseness the original design was known for. Increased flip out the tail on the Better Everyday loosens up the board, creating a positive feel out of the top while the decreased hip provides a more positive feeling off the bottom. The Better Everyday comes stock with five fin boxes, allowing you to choose what feeling you are after underfoot. This great all-around design sits right between your high performance shortboard (Two Happy/CI 2.Pro) and a step down/groveler (Rocket Wide/Happy Everyday). Simply put, the Better Everyday is designed for high performance surfing on the majority of waves the most of us surf every day!
